Our Mission

FRIENDS OF PL PREP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting PL Prep at J.W. Ray, a Pre-K–8th grade Choice campus in the Dallas, Texas public school system.

We provide funding for the programs, resources, and experiences that limited DISD budgets cannot fully support—including student and educator enrichment opportunities, STEAM-related learning materials, and other initiatives that enhance the educational experience.

Our mission is to ensure that every PL Prep student has equitable access to meaningful educational opportunities that inspire them to learn with the Phoenix 5: compassion, intent, empowerment, curiosity, and resilience.
